Welcome to PennsylvaniaUnemployed.org

Unemployment in Pennsylvania continues to wreak havoc on families and communities across the Commonwealth. Right now over 538,000 Pennsylvanians* are out of work and struggling to find jobs, pay their rent or mortgage, and put food on the table. As of  February 1, 2011, roughly 96,000 of those had used up all of their unemployment benefits.  Even though the unemployment rate is reported to be gradually falling, far too few jobs are being created each month - just 36,000 nationally in January.  More and more unemployed workers in Pennsylvania and across the country exhaust their benefits every day and join the ranks of the long-term unemployed.  Click the tabs above to learn more about resources, benefits, and organizations that can help unemployed workers and their families.
